Aquafest and Fishing Tournaments

Last weekend, I took you kiddos to the Rockport Aquafest. It was held at the Rockport aquarium and celebrated the 14th birthday of their resident eel. There were games, face-painting, and booths to explore. You guys always have fun playing carnival games and Autumn opted for face-painting (a pink unicorn-some hair blew on it while wet so it smeared :(

 

After we left Aquafest, we were able to meet up with your dad, who was in a kayak fishing tournament that day with his friend Cody. Dad got third place!! We had fun hanging out at the docks until the awards were called.

It was a fun filled day and you both crashed that night!

An interview with Autumn (Age 5)

Autumn,

You are independent, strong willed, gorgeous inside and out. You are my mini-me and will take on this world full force! I love how even at age 5 you are not scared and try so many things. I love you baby girl!!!!

We celebrated the Fourth of July in Killeen with Granny and Papa.

West Texas Adventures

This month, we made the 10+ hour drive and visited west Texas. Granny and Papa joined us. Actually, they drove you as you were returning from a visit with them and you met us out there. After our 2 tire blow-outs, we finally made it to the campsite! We camped at Balmorhea State Park for three nights. We had a blast and our trip included a visit to the McDonald Observatory, Ft Davis, Marfa and Alpine.
